I have arrived in China, in Urumqi. I am attempting to post this via email. If someone can please comment that you can read it, that would be great. More later.
It is the land of censorship, I guess, because I am unable to access my blog (subversive, I know), maps, Facebook, etc.
Apparently the censorship does not apply to random travelers' thoughts and observations! Just kidding, be safe and keep us posted whenever you can. Big hugs

ReplyDeleteI just talked to Irene and she asked me to tell you all that she is ok. For some reason, she is unable to post anymore and it may be a week before she surfaces again. The only headline I was able to get was that it took her 7 hours to cross the border from Kazakhstan to China.
